The Honorable Ann Donnelly

The idea of an emergency TRO hearing on a Saturday can’t be any judge’s idea of fun.  But when the ACLU lawyers came to get relief for their clients detained at JFK Airport, Judge Ann Donnelly, a federal judge for the Eastern District of New York was there and ruled that the detainees could not be sent back from the US.  The Washington Post called her a “rookie judge.”  She handled the matter like an old veteran.
